Picture this: You are standing on the desert of Karbala, steps away from the burning tents, with the newly orphaned children running around helplessly. You can hear their screams and cries for help, and suddenly you hear:

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

“هل من ناصر ينصرنا”
“Isn’t there anyone to help me”?

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Upon hearing this, what would you do? How many times have we heard this phrase being used during Muharram Majalis, a phrase that depicts the loneliness of our Imam as he was surrounded by Yazid’s army. An army thirsty to spill the blood of the Grandson of the Holy Prophet. How many times have we wished to be present at the tragedy of Karbala and share the immense calamity that befell our Master, Hussain (as)?

We must confess, the further we are to completing our project, the more emotional and heartbreaking our work has become. Some people have not had the strength to watch the short scene from our latest demo. Some were crying loudly whilst others were rendered speechless as they witnessed the events of the tragedy of Karbala unfold on the Day of Ashura via our VR project. Others could not watch the complete demo, and took off the VR glasses seconds after, saying: “My heart cannot bear to watch this!” With a broken heart, they were muttering: “Why are you doing this?”

The tragedy of Imam Hussain (as) is one of the most emotional and heartbreaking tragedies in the history of mankind, and this profound love for the Master of Martyrs, is out of our control. The followers of Hussain (as) are not confined to any nationality and ethnicity. Nor to any color or religion. Imam Hussein(as) is a universal personality that belongs to all of mankind. His love burns in the heart of every man; the poor and the rich, the educated or illiterate, the religious and non-religious.

We pray for the strength and help from the holy Lady, Fatima Zahra (as), to continue our journey and successfully revive the tragedy of Karbala. With the will of the Almighty, we aim to produce a content which will both honor and do justice to the Master of Martyrs.

Finally, we would like to reach to each and every one of you, if you still have not preordered your VR Karbala App, please do so via this link. We urgently need funding to complete the development of VR Karbala so that we can be ready prior to Muharram 2017 inshaAllah.

May we, with the Grace of God, be able to travel back in time and get a glimpse of the tragedy of Karbala so we can understand the importance of the lessons that we can learn from Karbala.

Eltemase Dua.
