VR Karbala – News and Updates

Shimr ibn Dhil Jawshan, VR Karbala

By the will of God and with the support from the holy household (peace be upon all of them), the VR Karbala project has steadily grown within the past eight months. The developmental team of VR Karbala is putting the finishing touches on the key characters. While the characters of Shimr and Omar ibn Sa’ad are fully developed, still, we are missing some main characters for the scene of Abbas (as).

Furthermore, we can reveal that the landscape of Karbala is now fully developed. The landscape is based on the actual map, however, the nahr alqami (the river) differs from the current existing river. Based on research, carried out by our respected scholars, it was evident that the actual river is non-existential on the current map, hence, it was decided to develop the landscape with the actual river. This decision ensures both historical credibility and accuracy, which we believe is significant for the understanding of the tragedy of Karbala.

Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the developed landscape has an actual size of sixteen square kilometers.

As the development of VR Karbala advances, employees with a diverse range of capabilities and competences are needed. On his second business trip to Iran, the founder, Nazer H. Mehrali hired a few new members to the VR Karbala team. These new team members include a director, a production manager, a technical director and 2 developers. With our new colleagues on board, VR Karbala has grown from 1 to 23 people within 8 months.

New Webpage

As the technological application of VR is not fully distributed, and it is commonly not utilized, we have realised that our followers are still not completely aware of the objective of VR Karbala. To compensate for this and in order to clearly explain our work, we have updated our VR Karbala webpage. To review the new webpage, please click here.

Social Media

By the Grace of God, the followers of VR Karbala have rapidly increased, thus, we receive various enquiries on a daily basis. To answer these questions and to interact with our followers, we decided to make a live streaming on Facebook, where the CEO of VR Karbala answered all the enquiries. In case you missed the live streaming, please click here to view it.
